For amateur radio reception

About Ten-Koh situation (May 17, 2019)

We could confirm the CW signal (beacon signal) transmitted from “Ten-Koh” yesterday (May 16), JST.
Thanks to your help, the CW signal transmission of “Ten-Koh” has been resumed.

The CW signals were still weak and not complete yet, but the internal temperature of “Ten-Koh” is 14 deg. C., maintaining its normal state.

For the time being we intend to focus on receiving the CW signals, but we will aim to resume the missions.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of the people who have supported us.
In particular, we are deeply grateful to the quick response of the people at the SatNOGS Network.

About Ten-Koh situation (April 8, 2019)

We are deeply thankful to radio amateur community for receiving Ten-Koh beacon since October 29th 2018.  We really appreciate the support of radio amateur community, your support has been invaluable for Ten-Koh operation.

Unexpectedly, Ten-Koh beacon was not received during our operation on March 19th of 2018 at 04:30 UTC and nobody has received a Ten-Koh CW signal since March 18th from 23:12 to 23:25 UTC.  We could decode this last observation, SATNOGS # 543685, which indicates that housekeeping data was in the normal range of values.

We cannot identify the exact moment  when Ten-Koh went into problem among these five hours. However, we have confirmed that Ten-Koh has power after executing the recover command and receiving confirmation reply of this command. However, normal operation has not been recovered.

Considering the result of the recovery operation and the orbit of Ten-Koh exposed to the severe environment of the South Atlantic anomaly every day, we believe that there is a problem in the OBC, probably related to its microcontroller.  Based on the results of several satellites that have recovered after being affected by space radiation, we hope in the recovery of Ten-Koh satellite and continue our operation to receive its signals.
